My mother isn’t comfortable with technology. Can she really use this?
If she can answer a phone call, she can do this. There’s one large button to record, the text can be made larger, and there are no passwords to remember. Sit with her for the first question — most people don’t need help after that.
Does the app change what they said?
It puts their words in order — taking out the “ums,” joining the pieces — but it doesn’t add anything. Every detail comes from the recording, their own phrases stay as they said them, and they can change any word before the chapter is kept.
Who can read the stories?
Only the people the storyteller invites to their Family Circle. Family members can read the chapters that have been kept, but can’t edit or delete them.
What does it cost?
The app is free to download. The yearly plan is $48.99 and starts with 7 days free. You can also pay $4.99 a month, or $199 once for lifetime access.
Can I cancel during the free week?
Yes. Cancel in your iPhone’s Settings before the 7 days end and you won’t be charged.
Is there an Android version?
Legacy of Faith is on iPhone and iPad today. The Android version is being tested now, and will follow.
What happens to the book when the storyteller passes?
It can become a memorial. Recording stops, every chapter is kept exactly as it was told, and the book stays with the family.
